The Purple Vest – Emergency Support Platform for People with Disabilities

The Purple Vest is a digital platform designed to connect trained volunteers with people with disabilities and the elderly during emergencies. Developed in collaboration with Access Israel — the country’s leading organization for accessibility and inclusion — the platform ensures that no one is left behind when crisis strikes.

We were proud to contribute to this mission by building a system that enables:

  • Real-time matching between individuals in need and nearby trained volunteers

  • Location-based alerts and assistance requests

  • Volunteer management tools, including training status and availability tracking

  • Secure data handling to protect sensitive personal information

The platform was developed following extensive stakeholder engagement, including roundtables, regulatory consultations, and emergency preparedness training. It reflects a national effort to embed accessibility into emergency response infrastructure.

The name “Purple Vest” symbolizes trust and readiness — volunteers wearing the vest are trained to assist in an inclusive, respectful, and effective manner. The platform brings this symbol to life, digitally coordinating help when it’s needed most.
